Clinical Director of Chicago
Janet Levitt (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who holds Masters Degrees in both Counseling and Developmental Psychology. Janet has over 20 years of experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults in private practice. She also has extensive experience as a parent coach, providing support and guidance to parents and families as they move through times of transition and challenge. Janet has held multiple leadership roles throughout her career, including the role of Clinical Director for Vive Family Support Program. She is currently a Clinical Supervisor for Wonder. Janet has completed advanced training in mindfulness and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). DBT empowers individuals to build healthy relationships, manage stressors, cultivate solutions to challenges, and enhance emotion regulation.
Janet believes we all have the potential to heal, grow, and build connection. In therapy, she provides a safe and supportive space in which clients can move from a place of stress, struggle, or disconnection to a place of meaning, hope, and equanimity.
William (he/him/his) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Registered Drama Therapist through The North American Drama Therapy Association.
Through his 6 years of direct clinical work with various diverse cultural and socioeconomic communities, he has witnessed the power which creative arts modalities have to help facilitate the dynamic integration between mind, heart, body, and spirit. Meeting people where they are in the present moment, he strives to collaborate with them on building a therapeutic alliance in which empowerment, healing, and growth take center stage.
William utilizes a combination of evidenced based creative arts approaches, as well as tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure and Response Prevention. He has worked with clients ranging across the life spectrum from ages 5 to 98 and specializes in working with clients struggling with trauma, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and substance use disorders.
In his free time, William enjoys exercising, cooking, working with ceramics, playing video games, and traveling.
Originally from the suburbs north of Chicago, Brendan Igoe received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Elon University in 2011, and his master’s in Child, Family, and School Psychology from the University of Denver in 2016.
He has spent years supporting students and their families in a variety of settings, including working as a restorative justice coordinator in Denver Public Schools, and as a behavior interventionist in Wilmette Public Schools.
Brendan’s time in education has led to collaboration with learning behavior specialists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, social workers and school psychologists, working to create and implement individualized support plans for students with behavioral, academic, social and emotional needs.
His work in behavior modification focuses on helping an individual to understand the motivation behind their behaviors, to develop more healthy or sustainable behavioral options that fit their life and skill set. Brendan works hard to meet his clients wherever they might be in their journey, and strives to be flexible, accountable, and understanding. In his free time Brendan loves playing ice hockey, riding his mountain bike, and spending time outdoors and on the lake with his family.
Originally from Chicago’s South Side, Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, and her Master’s in Biomedical Science from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Currently on her journey toward a doctorate in Community Psychology, Ashley brings over a decade of experience in mental health across diverse settings, from inpatient and outpatient settings to active community work.
In her therapeutic approach, Ashley works to break the mold, infusing sessions with a lively spirit. She firmly believes that therapy doesn’t have to be dull, even when it’s challenging. Beyond the professional realm, Ashley is a culinary enthusiast, constantly exploring new recipes to share with loved ones. Whether uncovering hidden gems in the city’s dining scene or engaging in playful moments at home with her dog, Ashley finds joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Dario (he/him) holds a B.A. in Psychology from Kent State University and an M.A. in Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Dario is passionate about supporting young people in their mental health journeys. Inspired by his high school basketball coach, who also served as a school counselor and special education teacher, Dario values the impact of mentorship and guidance. Today, he works as a school counselor, providing emotional support and coaching basketball to inspire the next generation.
Dario’s work with Wonder has allowed him to expand his skill set, integrating collaborative approaches between individual and family coaches. He appreciates how Wonder’s model empowers families with tools and insights to enhance their functioning. His therapeutic approach blends modalities, including psychodynamic, family therapy, CBT, and increasingly, existential interventions. Always calm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic, Dario is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Dario begins his work by identifying clients’ strengths and building upon them to establish a therapeutic relationship. He has extensive experience supporting clients through challenges such as intense anxiety, major depression, and grief and loss. For instance, he recently guided a young person through the loss of a family member to cancer, drawing on his own experiences with loss to offer empathy and practical tools. Dario also uses outdoor therapy, such as nature walks, to help clients break out of isolation, connect with the world around them, and enjoy the benefits of fresh air and exercise.
Outside of his professional life, Dario leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys biking, playing tennis, skiing, and traveling with his girlfriend. Recent adventures have included trips to Yellowstone, Montana, Wyoming, and soon, Chile and Argentina. A dedicated basketball enthusiast, he coaches middle school boys’ basketball and still finds time to hit the court himself. Dario has also recently taken up woodworking, having built a farmhouse-style dining bench, and looks forward to crafting more furniture. Above all, Dario cherishes time spent with family, especially his cousins from New Jersey.
Jesse (he/him/his) holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Drawn to helping others from an early age, Jesse pursued a career in mental health to support individuals navigating life’s challenges. He believes that mental health is interconnected with all aspects of life and emphasizes a holistic approach that considers emotional, mental, physical, and social well-being to help clients make lasting changes. Guiding clients toward healing and resilience is deeply fulfilling for Jesse.
Jesse appreciates Wonder’s model for its emphasis on building trust and connection through hands-on experiences. He finds it rewarding to see clients open up through engaging activities and values the depth that family sessions bring, allowing everyone to collaborate toward positive change. Being part of a model that blends creativity and collaboration makes therapy impactful and meaningful for Jesse.
Jesse’s practice incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based Therapy, Choice Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. He excels at meeting clients where they are, creating a safe, accepting space without judgment or expectations. Jesse’s goal is to build supportive and empowering connections so that clients feel truly seen and understood as they work toward their goals.
His specialties include helping clients navigate challenges by fostering peace and healing through support, awareness, and education. Jesse is particularly passionate about empowering individuals to deepen their self-understanding, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Outside of work, Jesse enjoys continuous learning, whether it’s exploring new cuisines or diving into different topics. He is also passionate about MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and kickboxing, which keep him active and provide a sense of discipline and balance that he brings into all aspects of his life.
Molly (she/her/hers) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a Master’s in Conflict Resolution & Mediation, and is a Certified CBT Life Coach. Her passion for helping individuals overcome life’s challenges inspired her to enter the mental health field. Witnessing barriers to mental health care fueled her desire to empower clients to navigate and thrive in their mental health journeys.
Molly appreciates Wonder’s family-centered, holistic approach that integrates individual and family therapy with parent coaching. She uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Techniques, and Motivational Interviewing to build self-awareness, promote practical coping skills, and set achievable goals. Emphasizing empathy and resilience, Molly’s background in conflict resolution helps clients work through challenges collaboratively.
Specializing in managing anxiety and conflict resolution, Molly ensures clients feel safe as they address past experiences impacting their present. She focuses on strength-based techniques to foster confidence and resilience and enjoys supporting families in creating healthier environments for lasting wellness.
With young adults, Molly’s strengths-based approach enhances resilience, self-awareness, and emotional management. She creates a nonjudgmental space for exploring goals and developing coping strategies. Experiential activities such as art-based vision boards, mindfulness exercises, nature walks, and yoga help clients connect with their emotions and reinforce skills.
In her free time, Molly enjoys exploring Chicago and Michigan, running along the lakefront, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. Adaptable and always up for a challenge, Molly brings enthusiasm and resilience to her work and life.
Julia Albrecht (she/her) is an Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coach with focuses in supporting neurodivergent folks, highly spirited young people, dynamic family systems, resilience, disconnection and relational repair. Her style is a culmination of modern therapeutic and behavioral techniques weaved together with threads of nervous system regulation, earth-based care, and a body-based trauma approach that incorporates multiple levels of the human experience. Julia’s spaces are a sanctuary for self-generation, growth, and a place to hear and be heard. As a multi-disciplinary practitioner, she offers a colorful range of sturdy tools to clear the path forward when life gets stretchy. Julia’s greatest intention is to strengthen safety, connection, and acceptance within the internal and external family landscape.
Outside of session you’ll find Julia spending time with horses, making short films with her old
style camcorder, or barefoot in the park or at the beach looking for little treasures. She’s
currently learning how to quilt and write.
Julia’s background includes a Bachelor’s in Science from Hamline University in Biology, a
Masters Degree in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching and Lifestyle Medicine from the
University of Minnesota, and Somatic education and mentorship experience with Veronica
Rottman. For 10 years, Julia worked with young people in Wilderness Survival Instruction and
Horsemanship then went on to start her own program in Wilderness Guiding with young adults in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northern Minnesota. She has both
Wilderness First Aid Training and is a registered Wilderness First Responder. Julia has spent
quite some time studying yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, meditation, mind-body healing, reiki, herbalism, movement therapies and nutrition. She has spent an equal amount of time in the traditional medical systems working in hospice, sexual health, mental health, and clinical research spaces. Julia loves cooking and nourishment, she’s got a Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from Cornell University and extra training from the Harvard School of Public Health’s Healthy Kitchen’s Healthy Lives program. Wherever families or young folks are in their process, Julia walks alongside providing sturdy support and holding space for all the nuance that comes along with being human.
